Today we took a day train from Budapest to Prague. The train station itself looked just as a train station should with plenty of glass and clicking schedule boards. On the train we passed through some really pretty countryside, not dissimilar to the Blue Ridge Mountains back in Virginia. With the major exception being that the villages were mostly Baroque as apposed to, well, shacks. (I know that's not fair there are plenty of lovely homes in the Blue Ridge, but still...)
We arrived in Prague in the evening after almost everything had closed, so we just spent some time wandering about. This is a fairytale city of spires, baroque facades, an winding streets. In the middle of it all, we found this shoe. Art? Political Commentary? Fun anyw

Maybe it's a modern version of Venus (or one of those other godesses riding in a seashell). I love the blog and it provides the incentive for Omi to learn to use the mouse! I think I'll not put our old globe in the yard sale.

No, you're right. The most beautiful hills it seems are in the poorest parts of VA.
And doesn't every girl have at least one pair of shoes in her closet that make her feel like Venus when she wears them?
